Welding
Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Welding program provides students with the skills and knowledge to become competent welders upon successful completion of all the welding courses in each level. Students will develop the necessary habits concerning safety, the proper use of time and materials which are necessary in becoming a competent welder in today's market.
Kwantlen graduates are able to ladder into other careers such as welding inspector, welding instructor, sales of welding products and consumables, quality assurance positions, and estimating.
For the person who knows they want to venture into the metal trades but does not know where to start, welding is an excellent educational choice due to the fact that it is an integral part of so many trades. Millwrights, Steel Fabricators, Ironworkers, Boilermakers, Shipwrights, Pipe fitters, all use welding in their trade so it is a wise choice to learn to weld.
